Learn How You Can Become a Christian
The Abandoned Art movement is going on all over the world. People make art and leave it somewhere for strangers to find, simply for the joy it will bring others. What sets us apart from the abandoned art genre is that we have the finder's soul in mind.
Our art will include Scripture and will be backed by prayer:
prayer when choosing the scripture, choosing the abandonment site and, ultimately, prayer for the person who finds our art.
Pray that this would become an answer to prayer for someone, found by just the right person, at just the right God-ordained moment.
The process is to simply make art and abandon it. The art will include a tag letting the person who finds it know it is a free gift. It will include Greater Grace contact information. The group will start out easy and alter game cards with collage and paint. As we progress, the group will make different kinds of art.
One does not need to be an artist to join the party. The tasks consist of cutting, glueing, and adding paint. All supplies will be provided. These will be "make and take" parties. Everyone takes art home with them to abandon somewhere. Extra art will be left at the back of the church for those who want to abandon it somewhere, or perhaps give to someone they know who is hurting and could use a kind word.
Art can be used to reach people everywhere by dropping these pieces at grocery stores, malls, ATMs, restaurants, nursing homes, hospitals, libraries, restrooms at public places...pretty much anywhere one goes. We will "abandon" the artwork at the place we feel led to then trust God to have the right person pick it up.
If you are interested in joining this endeavor, we would love to have you. I encourage you to invite family and friends who might be interested.
♰ How to Become a Christian
Begin with this prayer:
"Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me for all of the sins of my life. I am truly sorry, and I want you to come into my heart. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins, has risen from the dead in holy resurrection, and I believe He lives now. He is my personal savior. I believe and I want Jesus to be the Lord of my life. Please send me your Holy Spirit that I may learn, and be helped to obey you and do ony Your will for the remainder of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
If you have decided today to give your heart to God and become a Christian, then congratualtions! Welcome to God's family! Here are some things that you should do:
1. Pray and ask God to increase your faith and understanding of His holy word as it is revealed in the Bible.
2. Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ. Matthew 28:19-20
3. Spend time with God each day. It's not necessary to spend long periods of time in this. Just begin a daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ephesians 1:16-17
4. Get baptized as commanded by Christ. Matthew 28:19-20
5. Seek fellowship with other Christians. Develop a group of Christian friends who can answer your questions and provide support for you.
6. Find a local church where you can worship God.
